HAIKOU, July 27. /TASS/. Hello Kitty Theme Park located in Sanya resort presented its own stand at the 2nd China International Consumer Products Expo in Haikou (the administrative center of Hainan province, South China).

The stand is located in the first pavilion. Its total area is about 400 square meters. It is equipped with a railroad and a Ferris wheel about six meters high, as well as elements of the brand's fictional universe. Visitors can walk around the pavilion, take pictures with their favorite characters and buy souvenirs.

An agreement to create a theme park in Sanya dedicated to the iconic Japanese cartoon character Hello Kitty was signed between Sanrio (Shanghai) International Trade, which holds the rights to the brand, and China's Funde Holding Group in 2019. The park, which includes a hotel and stores, is located in the Haitang Bay area.

The 2nd China International Consumer Products Expo will be held from July 25 to 30 and will feature over 2,800 brands from more than 60 countries and regions around the world. Over 600 kinds of products will be unveiled during the expo. As expected, the exhibition will be visited by more than 40 thousand businessmen. France is the guest of honor at this year's event.

The opening ceremony marked the start of the Expo's business program. The exhibition itself started on Tuesday: from July 26 to 28 the exhibition will be open only for the business community and mass media, and on July 29-30 it will open its doors for the general public.
