Russian Transport Ministry disproves ICAO flight safety concerns
Earlier, it was reported that ICAO had made a statement regarding ‘significant concerns’ in aviation safety sphere in Russia
MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. The Russian Transport Ministry does not support concerns of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regarding safety of flights in Russia, the Ministry said on Friday.
"The Russian Ministry of Transport does not support ICAO concerns regarding safety of flights in Russia, related to the so-called ‘dual’ registration of aircraft," it said. "Flight safety of aircraft is provided and is being maintained at a high level," the Ministry noted.
RBC news outlet reported earlier that ICAO had made a statement regarding ‘significant concerns’ in aviation safety sphere in Russia. The point is that Russian aircraft are standing in civil aircraft registers in more than one country and the problem arises in respect of validity of licenses for their radio equipment and airworthiness certificate at large, RBC reported.
