NEW YORK, June 23. /TASS/. Nike, the US-based footwear and apparel producer, decided to leave Russia, the company said on its website on Thursday.

"Nike Inc. has made the decision to leave the Russian marketplace. Nike.com and Nike mobile app will not be available in this region anymore. The Nike stores have been temporarily closed recently and will not reopen," the company said.

Nike confirmed this May that it would not renew and make new agreements with Russian partners.
