Grain for export to Middle East, Turkey, Africa arrives in port of Berdyansk
Earlier, the first train carrying grain from Melitopol arrived in Crimea
SIMFEROPOL, June 21. /TASS/. Agrarians in the Zaporozhye Region have begun delivering grain to the port of Berdyansk for exports to resume to the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and for traders in North America, a senior local official told TASS on Tuesday.
"Grain for export is being delivered to the port. <…> Thousands of tonnes of grain are needed. The key buyers of our grain now are the Middle East, African countries and Turkey as well as a lot of traders, including those in North America," Vladimir Rogov, a member of the chief council of the civil-military administration of the Zaporozhye Region, said.
Earlier, the first train carrying grain from Melitopol arrived in Crimea, and the first vessels with grain are expected to depart from the port of Berdyansk soon.
