Quantum computer technologies to appear in coming decade – expert

In the coming days, it is planned to conduct key experiments and technologies for creating quantum computing devices, said Sergey Kulik, scientific director of the Competence Center for Quantum Technologies

ST. PETERSBURG, June 19. /TASS/. Technologies of creating quantum computer systems will appear during the coming decade, research director of the Quantum Technologies Center of Competence Sergey Kulik told TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"Key experiments will be made and technologies of creating quantum computing devices will be developed in the coming day. According to preliminary estimates, approximately the same time will be needed for appearance of quantum computers that will be capable of solving practically important tasks," the expert said.
