Russia's USC fails to receive European units for civil shipbuilding due to sanctions

ST. PETERSBURG, June 18. /TASS/. Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has failed to receive units produced in Europe necessary for civil shipbuilding due to sanctions, Chief Executive Officer Alexey Rakhmanov told TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The current political situation has affected civil shipbuilding, he noted. "In particular, the units that we ordered from our European suppliers and paid for, have not been delivered to us. As a result of the fourth, the fifth or the sixth wave of those sanctions we failed to receive the equipment," CEO explained.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum organized by the Roscongress Foundation is running from June 15 to 18. This year’s forum is dubbed: ‘New Opportunities in a New World’. TASS serves as the event’s official photo hosting agency and the information partner.
