Corporate lawyers are currently reviewing the format of appealing and continuing interaction

ST. PETERSBURG, June 17. /TASS/. EuroChem believes that Lifosa, the company’s phosphate fertilizer plant in Lithuania, should not be under sanctions and is exploring avenues to appeal against this restrictive move, CEO Sergey Tverdokhleb told TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.

"The introduction of a temporary administrator is the Lithuanian government’s right, in line with the law on sanctions enacted in Lithuania. We believe that we have all legal grounds for this, along with the necessary legal opinions of authorities from a wide range of countries, that the company and its subsidiaries, including the plant in Lithuania, are not under sanctions and have no sanction status. That is, the Lithuanian government’s decision to appoint a temporary administrator contradicts our position that the company is not under sanctions," the top manager said.

Corporate lawyers are currently reviewing the format of appealing and continuing interaction, he added.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum organized by the Roscongress Foundation is running from June 15 to 18. This year’s forum is dubbed: ‘New Opportunities in a New World’. The SME Forum, the Creative Business Forum, the Drug Security Forum, the SPIEF Junior Dialogue and SPIEF Sport Week are also going to be part of the SPIEF event. TASS serves as the event’s official photo hosting agency and the information partner.
