Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce to discuss supplies of wheat, gas, oil at SPIEF

ST. PETERSBURG, June 15. /TASS/. The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce & Investment of Afghanistan intends to discuss with Russian companies at SPIEF the issues of gas, oil, and wheat supplies, Deputy Chairman of the chamber Mirwais Hotak told TASS.
"We plan to meet with oil and gas companies to discuss further cooperation between Afghanistan and Russia," he said, adding that the issue of wheat supplies is also planned to be discussed.
He added that the Chamber of Commerce and Roscongress will sign a memorandum of cooperation on the sidelines of SPIEF. "We are going to sign a memorandum of understanding tomorrow, June 16, with Roscongress in order to [promote] further cooperation with Afghan businessmen," he said.
The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is held on June 15-18. The plenary session of the forum with the participation of Vladimir Putin will be held on June 17. According to Roscongress, representatives from more than 90 countries are expected to attend SPIEF this year. As of June 1, more than 2,700 business representatives have confirmed their participation in the forum.
