These obligations refer both to energy supplies or other trade and economic relations

MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Russia will meet all contract obligations in foreign trade despite the sanctions that have been imposed, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview with the CGTN TV channel.

"As far as foreign trade is concerned, we have fulfilled our obligations, and we are fulfilling them in the same way. Even amid the restrictions that have been imposed against Russia, we continue fulfilling all contract obligations, be it energy supplies or other trade and economic relations," he said.

Earlier, Siluanov said the Russian economy was not going to close or isolate, adding that Moscow would continue developing mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries.

In response to Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, a number of countries, including western states, have announced sanctions against Moscow. The restrictions imposed by the European Union, the US, Canada, the UK and Japan are directed against Russia’s financial sector and on limiting exports of high technologies. The countries have also blacklisted political figures, representatives of the banking sector and other Russian citizens.
