Russian companies secure from Ukraine’s cyberattacks, assures senior diplomat
According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov, Ukraine’s hacker attacks have been coordinated
MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Russia has created its own information security system over the years of sanctions and continued cyberattacks, Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said in an interview with TASS.
Russian companies are effectively protected against Ukraine’s hacking attempts, he said, commenting on the attacks against Russia’s state-controlled organizations, which have become increasingly common.
"Over the years of the anti-Russian sanctions and against the background of continued cyberattacks, we have created an information security system of our own," said Syromolotov. "All kinds of unlawful action we have witnessed in the information space are well known to our experts, while Russian software" has been rolled out almost in every anti-attack system, he said.
Ukraine’s hacker attacks have been "coordinated," stressed the diplomat. "There are absolutely no doubts about that," he said. In late April, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fyodorov claimed in an interview with foreign media that he had organized the world’s first cyber army, enlisting some 300,000 IT-specialists, the diplomat pointed out, adding that that "army" was behind attacks against companies in Russia and Belarus.
