Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl leaves Rosneft's Board of Directors
She served as an independent director for the company until joining the board in June 2021
MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl filed an application for resigning from the Board of Directors of Rosneft on May 20 and refused to renew her position in it for a second term, Rosneft reported.
According to the Rosneft press service, Kneissl's announcement regarding retiring from the post says that it takes effect on May 20 and also includes a refusal to extend Ms. Kneissl's duties on the company's board of directors for a second term. Kneisl served as an independent director for Rosneft until joining the board in June 2021.
On May 20, Rosneft announced that ex-Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroder and CEO of Nord Stream 2 AG Matthias Warnig announced they could not extend their positions on the company's board of directors.
