MOSCOW, May 11. /TASS/. Kamaz produced 3,800 trucks in April 2022, down by 15% year-on-year, the company said in a statement.

"The decrease was expected due to the decision taken by the company’s management earlier to reduce the daily rate of the line to 180 units per day based on the estimation of the market situation and prevention of a glut of inventory," the statement said.

Kamaz engine plant produced and supplied to the car facility and its outside consumers 3,900 engines and power units in April, and 16,400 units in January-April (down by 18 and up 5.4% in annual terms, respectively).

Kamaz is Russia’s largest truck producer and one of the world’s top twenty biggest producers. The company produces trucks, trailers, buses, tractors, engines, power units, and different tools.
