MOSCOW, May 9. /TASS/. The European Union plans to exclude a ban on transporting Russian oil to third countries by EU-owned vessels from the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, Bloomberg reported on Monday, citing documents and sources in the EU.

According to the report, Greece was among the countries that supported dropping this provision from the next package of sanctions.

Meanwhile, the European Union still intends to ban European companies from insuring vessels carrying Russian oil. According to Bloomberg, "a prohibition on insurance is still in the works and would remain a significant impediment to exports.".
