MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. The ban imposed by the European Union for calls of ships under the Russian flag will not significantly affect operations of the Delo Group, the Russian company’s press service told TASS.

"According to our estimates, such ban will influence in the first instance on reduction of the volume of containerized goods to and from Europe but insignificantly," the press service said. "The EU ban in question will not also affect materially operations of the Group’s assets in terms of transshipment of containers; it will be probably insignificant for general cargo throughput and will not affect grain transshipments at all because Russian vessels with EU agricultural cargo are outside sanctions," the company said.

Participation of Russian vessels in cargo transportation from Russian ports is 10-15%, the company said. The new EU ban now "deprives of one more method for moving goods to Europe and back from the few left after temporary suspension of operations of the largest maritime operators on the Russian market," the press service added.
