Alfa-Bank Kazakhstan looking for new shareholder — top manager

NUR-SULTAN, April 11. /TASS/. Alfa-Bank Kazakhstan plans to replace the shareholder in recent weeks and stakeholders are already examining required documents, Managing Director of the financial institution Andrey Timchenko said on Monday.

The bank suspended transfers in dollars and euro for individuals and legal entities, the bank’s press service said on April 7.

"We are holding negotiations with the whole range of investors in order to replace the shareholder in the bank," Timchenko said. "More than ten interested parties are already specifically studying our documents, financial reports," he noted.

The transaction can be made within several weeks, the top manager added.

The US introduced full blocking sanctions against Sberbank and Alfa-Bank on April 6.
