MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Irina Vodyakhina will take over the post previously held by Vincent Darbo as Chanel’s CEO in Russia, a source close to the company told TASS on Monday.

"The business is moving away from expats - employees from Russia will be the chief executive officer and the chief financial officer of the company," the source said. "Irina Vodyakhina will wear two hats as the director of the fashion retail boutiques chain and the chief executive director," the source added, noting that Vincent Darbo had served as Chanel CEO in Russia since mid-2020.

On March 5, AFP reported that Chanel had decided to suspend operations in Russia amid concerns over the current developments, and mounting complications in its operations. Chanel has 17 boutiques and trading outlets in large stores.
