Gazprom reached import substitution for virtually all types of equipment
It is now critical to preserve quality, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Company Vitaly Markelov said
EKATERINBURG, April 7. /TASS/. Gazprom was able to achieve substitute virtually all types of equipment thanks to the work on import substitution that has been increased since 2014, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Company Vitaly Markelov said on Thursday.
"In 2014, Gazprom had significant substitution demands for all types of equipment; an appropriate department was established, and collaboration with the equipment manufacturer was established. As a result, we have increased the percentage of import substitution dramatically, and we have replaced all sorts of equipment. It is now critical to preserve quality, and we have already set the goal of having our equipment outperform counterparts in terms of quality and attributes," he said.
Back in January, Gazprom said it would establish the Board import substitution and technology development committee to be headed by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
