TOKYO, April 7. /TASS/. Member-states of the Group of Seven (G7) will continue applying measures to disconnect Russian banks from the global financial system, G7 leaders said in their statement posted on Thursday.
"We will continue to disconnect Russian banks from the global financial system. We have already significantly degraded Russia’s financial system by targeting the transactions involving central bank assets and a number of other financial institutions," according to the document.
G7 members "will escalate pressure, including by imposing additional sanctions on state-owned entities that comprise the main drivers of Russia’s economy," the leaders said in their statement.
