Russia to limit soybean checkpoints from April 1 — Cabinet
According to decrees signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, "export of soybeans by motor, railway and water transport from April 1 to August 31 inclusive will only be possible via checkpoints in the Far Eastern Federal District"
MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Russian authorities decided to limit the number of checkpoints for soybeans export from April 1, the Government’s press service said on Thursday.
"Considering the rising global demand for soybeans and their processing products required for the livestock production, the decision was made to limit the number of checkpoints for soybeans and soybean meal export from Russia," the press service said.
According to decrees signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, "export of soybeans by motor, railway and water transport from April 1 to August 31 inclusive will only be possible via checkpoints in the Far Eastern Federal District," the Cabinet said.
As regards soybean meal, checkpoints in the Far East and a marine checkpoint in the Kaliningrad Region remain because soybean meal is largely produced from imported raw materials in this region.
An exception will be made for soybean and soybean meal export to member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union, humanitarian aid export and within the framework of international intergovernmental agreements.
