BERLIN, March 28. /TASS/. Members of the Group of Seven (G7) do not intend to pay for supplies of Russian gas in rubles, German Vice-Chancellor and Economy Minister Robert Habeck said at the press conference on Monday.
"All G7 energy ministers agree that [the demand to pay in rubles for Russian gas] is a one-sided and obvious breach of effective contracts. Concluded contracts remain effective and companies should continue honoring their provisions. Payments in rubles are unacceptable," Habeck said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered earlier to transfer settlements for Russian gas supplies to unfriendly states into rubles.
