S&P to suspend commercial operations in Russia, continue posting ratings
On March 5, Moody's global rater also announced suspension of commercial operations in the country
MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. S&P Global Ratings has announced suspension of commercial operations in Russia over Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine, the global rating agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
"S&P Global has decided to suspend commercial operations in Russia. As a provider of independent news, research, benchmarks, and analytics, S&P Global will continue to play our essential role in global markets by providing critical information on Russian markets for our customers to make important decisions," the statement said.
On March 5, Moody's global rater also announced suspension of commercial operations in the country. Despite the closing of the Russian office, Moody’s said it intended to continue covering the existing ratings outside Russia.
