Russia values its reputation as reliable energy provider — Kremlin
It was noted that Moscow continued to provide energy to other countries
MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. Russia has been and will remain a reliable global energy provider but the West’s mayhem of hostility complicates the situation, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"We have repeatedly said that Russia has been and will remain a reliable energy provider not only on the European continent but globally as well," he pointed out, when asked if Russia was ready to continue providing oil and gas to the countries that had imposed sanctions against Russia.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that Moscow continued to provide energy to other countries. "Russia values its reputation as a reliable energy provider," Peskov stressed. According to him, European leaders speak with one voice, admitting that Russia fully implements its obligations under all the existing contracts. "However, you can see the mayhem of hostility that the countries of the collective West have created, which greatly complicates the situation, making us seriously think it over," the Russian presidential spokesman said.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation based on a request from the heads of the Donbass republics. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans to occupy Ukrainian territories and the goal was to demilitarize and denazify the country. In response, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and a number of other countries announced sanctions against Russian individuals and entities.
