MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Alfa-Bank extended the term of all Visa and MasterCard cards of the bank until December 2028, the bank said in its Telegram channel.

"Irrespective of what is written on your card, it is now in effect until 12/28. There is no need to reissue the card. And yes, all Visa and MasterCard cards continue to be effective in Russia right as earlier," Alfa-Bank said.

Visa and MasterCard decided simultaneously to limit their operations in Russia in coming days. All cards of these payment systems issued earlier by Russian banks will continue operating in Russia but it will not be possible to make payments with their use overseas.
