It is reported that the logistics chains have been interrupted

BUENOS AIRES, March 5. /TASS/. Chile will be forced to redirect the supplies intended for the Russian market to other countries due to logistics issues related to the conflict in Ukraine, Vice Minister of Trade in the Chilean Foreign Ministry Rodrigo Yanez said in an interview with Emol TV.

"The logistics chains have been interrupted, and it will be difficult to get to the Russian market, which is why we will have to redirect them [supplies]," he said.

"This is the second-or third-most important market for [Chilean] salmon, and the main one - for dairy, cheese and the like. No doubt it will hit them," Yanez said. Overall Russia is Chile’s 27th-biggest partner in terms of trade turnover.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine, stressing that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories. Western countries responded to the actions of the Russian authorities by slapping sanctions against physical and legal entities.
