Putin stresses inadmissibility of politicizing issues of global energy supply

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, pointed out that it is inadmissible to politicize global energy issues, The Kremlin press service reported.
"Taking into account the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by a number of Western countries, Vladimir Putin stressed the inadmissibility of politicizing the issues of global energy supply, and also outlined the fundamental approaches of the Russian side in the context of the ongoing special military operation to protect Donbass," the statement says.
The parties expressed mutual interest in the further comprehensive development of the mutually beneficial Russian-Saudi partnership and agreed to continue contacts at various levels, the Kremlin added.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories.
After that, the US, the EU, the UK, and a number of other states announced that they would impose sanctions against Russian legal entities and individuals.
