US dollar above 81 rubles on Moscow Exchange, first time since March 2020

The US dollar gained 2.8% against the closing level of the prior session
MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. The US dollar gained 2.8% against the closing level of the prior session and climbed to 81.0025 rubles during the currency trading session on the Moscow Exchange, according to Exchange data as of 18.14 Moscow Time on Wednesday.
The dollar was above 81 rubles last time in March 2020.
By 18:42 Moscow Time, the dollar exchange rate went down by 2.49% to 80.76 rubles and the euro exchange rate by 2.28% to 91.4850 rubles.
The price of futures contracts of Brent crude oil for April delivery was up by 1.69% at $98.48 per barrel on London’s ICE, while the price of WTI crude oil futures was up by 1.91% trading at $93.67 per barrel.
