HAIKOU /China/, January 23. /TASS/. The resort city of Sanya on the southern coast of Hainan Island will hold the first Hainan Agriculture Industry Promotion Exhibition on March 4-6. This was reported by the Hainan Daily.

According to the newspaper, the event will be attended by over 300 companies. The area of expositions will be 20 thousand square meters. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with a wide range of agricultural products, the results of its processing, storage technology and refrigeration equipment.

Detailed presentations for investors will be held during the exhibition, the organizers said. It is hoped that consumers and businesses will get a more holistic view of the island's agricultural sector, and establish new contacts to form effective supply chains for vegetables, fruits, meat and fish products to Chinese and foreign markets.

According to the forecast of Hainan Department of Commerce, the scale of the provincial exhibition industry will dynamically increase and by 2025 its income will reach 60 billion yuan ($ 9.4 billion). According to department estimates, the growth rate of this indicator will reach about 12%.
