New Zealand's Massey University learning center opens on Hainan
The students in the training center will be studying remotely
HAIKOU, July 16, /TASS/. New Zealand's Massey University Learning Center has opened at China's Hainan University, announced the information portal "Zhongguo Xinwenwang".
The center in Hainan trains Chinese students who entered Massey University but were unable to reach the campus in Palmerston North, New Zealand due to the coronavirus pandemic. Educational institutions have agreed that 101 students from China will temporarily study academic disciplines on Hainan. They previously attended Massey University Business School and College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The students in the training center will be studying remotely, moreover, they will be able to seek advice from the teachers of Hainan University, the portal writes.
According to Zhou Wei, Dean of the School of International Education at Hainan University, the two institutions will develop cooperation in academic exchanges, joint research and training of masters and doctoral students.
Hainan University was founded in 1958 in Haikou, today over 40,000 students study here. Massey University first admitted students in 1928. Now it has more than 35,000 students,
