No livestock tax to be introduced in Russia — Putin

The President also noted that breeding is a very important element of work of the agricultural sector

MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. Russia has no plans to impose a tax on livestock, President Vladimir Putin said during the annual Direct Line on Wednesday.

"There must be a 'per capita' tax put on those spreading such rumors. No, there are no plans to introduce a livestock tax," the head of state said.

Breeding is a very important element of work of the agricultural sector, the President noted.

"This is very important. This is what we are paying increasingly more attention to. This pertains to seeds, pertains to herds - this is an extremely important job. We are only taking our first steps in this direction," Putin noted.
