SOCHI, February 22. /TASS/. Cooperation in the sphere of industry between Russia and Belarus is more important than the direct financial support provided by Moscow to Minsk, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
"Alexander Grigoryevich, you mentioned financial support. You are absolutely right, it is important but it is by far not the most important part. The important part is the joint work on cooperation in the real sector of economy," Putin said.
The Russian president reiterated that the bilateral turnover has dropped somewhat during the pandemic "for about 15% but still amounted to $28.5 bln."
"These are very significant figures, this is all decent," he pointed out.
