SANYA, February 18. /TASS/. According to the Hainan Daily, the income of the local hospitality industry during the "golden week" amounted to almost 209 million yuan (about $ 32 million).
Attractions such as Boundary Island (Fenjie Zhoudao), Nanwan Monkey Island and Clear Water Bay were very popular among guests of the picturesque county. By the last day of the weekend, over 191,000 people have enjoyed their tropical landscapes. Travelers could visit these places, as well as the ancient Miao village and water park, buying a single tour for 199 yuan (about $ 31).
Lingshui Li Autonomous County is located in the southeastern part of Hainan, near the resort city of Sanya. This part of the island is home to a large number of tourist spots. Visitors of Boundary Island and the Bay of Clear Water come here for active recreation: here one can go diving, watch sea animals, take a paragliding or helicopter flight over the coast, and also jump with a parachute.
Nanwan Monkey Island - a nature reserve with an area of 10 square kilometers, which is home to about 2,000 primates, is of particular interest to the tourists. This reserve is located on a peninsula, not an island, and can be reached by eco-friendly land and water transport, as well as by using the longest aerial cable car in China, which is more than 2 km long.
By 2025, the authorities have set the task of turning Hainan into an "international center for tourism and consumption." The Chinese island is often referred to as "Eastern Hawaii": natural landscapes, tropical forests, a developed hotel chain combined with beaches and a coastline of more than 1,900 kilometers draw tourists from the most remote parts of the world.
