Russia to offer vaccine to CIS states on most attractive conditions
Russia's deputy foreign minister reiterated that Belarus became the first foreign country to register the Sputnik V vaccine
MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Russia observes great interest in domestic vaccines against the coronavirus in the CIS countries and is ready to provide the preparations to partners in the Commonwealth on the most attractive conditions, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said in an interview with TASS.
In response to a question on which conditions Russia is ready to provide the vaccine to these countries, the senior diplomat said: "On the most attractive ones." "Considering high rates of the spread of the coronavirus infection worldwide that remain we will try to accommodate the needs of our partners as much as possible," he added.
The deputy foreign minister reiterated that Belarus became the first foreign country to register the Sputnik V vaccine. "The organization of its production on the basis of the Belpharmpreparaty enterprise is at full speed. We are hoping that we will continue such a cooperation regarding EpiVacCorona as well," he noted.
Also, a great interest in the Russian vaccines is observed in Central Asia, he pointed out. Thus, Turkmenistan has already completed the certification of the Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona vaccines, while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan receive support in organizing the production of Sputnik V, including the transfer of the appropriate technology. "We are expecting the designation of a qualified technological partner on the Uzbekistani side," the senior diplomat added.
"Other states of the Commonwealth - Azerbaijan, Armenia and Moldova - expressed an interest in obtaining the Russian preparations. The appropriate work on coordinating permits, terms and conditions of deliveries is underway," he pointed out.
