Russia’s energy consumption may grow by 0.5% in 2021 compared to 2019 - Energy Ministry

A slight increase may occur due to the temperature factor, Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Snikkars said

MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. The Russian Ministry of Energy expects an increase in electricity consumption in Russia in 2021 against the level of 2019 and a possible excess by 0.5%, Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Snikkars told TASS on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum.

"We hope that by the end of 2021 we will reach the parameters of 2019, possibly with a slight growth by 0.5%. A slight increase may occur due to the temperature factor," Snikkars said.
