Putin to hold meeting on development of Far East
The spokesman noted that development of such an important region of the country as the Far East remains one of the priorities of the president even amid the pandemic
MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting on the development of the Far East on Monday, Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday.
"Today, Putin will have a meeting with [Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri] Trutnev and [Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexander] Kozlov, he will receive them in the Kremlin, they will talk about the Far East and its development, the issue of the Arctic," Peskov said. He recalled that "the development of the Far East makes a huge layer of issues that are supervised by Trutnev."
He noted that development of such an important region of the country as the Far East remains one of the priorities of the president even amid the pandemic.
Peskov added that the president will also have an international telephone conversation, but did not specify the other side.
