Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum postponed indefinitely

The forum was supposed to be held on March 19-21

KRASNOYARSK, March 6. /TASS/. The Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, which was supposed to be held on March 19-21, was postponed indefinitely, head of the governor’s press service Maxim Kudryavtsev told TASS.

"It was postponed for an indefinite period. The decision has just been made," he said.

Chairman of the government of the Krasnoyarsk region Yuri Lapshin confirmed to TASS that on Friday at a meeting with the governor of the region, the issue of transferring the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum was discussed.

"After a clear position of the federal authorities regarding the measures to counteract coronavirus on the one hand and yesterday’s decision announced by [SPIEF organizing committee chairman Andrey] Belousov about the St. Petersburg forum in June, we have no other options," Lapshin said.

The 17th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum was to be held from March 19 to 21. A draft investment strategy of the regions of Siberia near the Yenisei River (Krasnoyarsk region, Khakassia, Tuva) was expected to be presented at the event. For the first time, the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum was held in 2004. At the time, it brought together about 700 participants.
