Russia calls for creating Greater Eurasia uniting integration initiatives - Kremlin aide
Yuri Ushakov said that Russia had a philosophical approach to the stance voiced by the media that the Chinese initiative One Belt One Road is a kind of China’s absorption of the entire planet
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, April 28. /TASS/. Russia believes it is beneficial to create a single Greater Eurasia space, involving the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and various Chinese integration initiatives, Russian Presidential Aide for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov said on Sunday.
"It is advantageous for us and we believe that there is the need to aspire for Greater Eurasia, which includes the European Union, our Eurasian Union and various Chinese initiatives," Ushakov in an interview with the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on Rossiya-1 TV channel.
The presidential aide said Russia had a philosophical approach to the stance voiced by the media that the Chinese initiative One Belt One Road is a kind of China’s absorption of the entire planet.
"We treat these thoughts in a philosophical way because we have our own preferences and ideas, which we outline, including at this forum, which provides for an excellent platform to discuss all this. The integration of integrations is a very good slogan and we are supporting it," Ushakov said.
The second international cooperation forum One Belt One Road was held in Beijing on April 25-27. Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the event.
