Venezuelan Oil Minister to visit Moscow in early April
Manuel Quevedo is going to open PDVSA office in Russia
BAKU, March 17. /TASS/. Venezuela’s Oil Minister Manuel Quevedo plans to come to Russia in coming weeks to negotiate the opening of the office of the state-owned oil company PDVSA in Moscow.
"I am going to Russia the next weeks, in the beginning of April in order to open PDVSA office in Russia. But first I need to meet on agenda with [Russia’s Energy Minister] Mr. [Alexander] Novak and [head of Rosneft] Mr. [Igor] Sechin," he told reporters on the sidelines of the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee in Baku on Sunday.
On March 11, it was reported with reference to Ambassador of Venezuela to Russia Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa that Moscow's office of PDVSA might be opened within two months.
Venezuelan Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez earlier announced the decision to move the company’s European office from Lisbon to Moscow at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
