Leonid Mikhelson becomes richest Russian on Forbes World’s Billionaires List
According to Forbes, the net worth of Mikhelson's assets is estimated at $24 bln
MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. Chief Executive Officer of the Russian natural gas producer Novatek is ranked 32th in the Forbes World’s Billionaires List and at the same is the first in the list of the richest Russians. The rating was posted on the Forbes website on Tuesday.
According to Forbes, the net worth of Mikhelson is estimated at $24 bln. The Novatek CEO was already recognized as the richest Russian businessman in 2016 and 2017.
Majority owner of the Russian steelmaker NLMK Vladimir Lisin is second among the Russian participants in the rating and 45th in the global ranking with the net worth of $21.3 bln. Chief executive of the Russian oil major Lukoil Vagit Alekperov is third ($20.7 bln).
The Forbes global rating includes 98 Russian businessmen with the net worth over $1 bln this year.
