Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has called for a wider use of national currencies in Eurasian Economic Union mutual settlements
ALMATY, February 1. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has called for a wider use of national currencies in EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) mutual settlements.
"It is necessary to expand use of national currencies in mutual settlements, though we have already reached a decent level on many items," he said at the extended meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session on Friday.
According to Medvedev, internal trade rose by almost 12% in first 10 months of 2018, mainly due to an increase of commodity weight, while trade with foreign partners soared by 21% in the same period.
