Tajik airline launches another flight to Zhukovsky airport

From December, the company’s planes will fly three times a week from the city of Kulyab

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Tajik airline Somon air will launch one more flight to the Zhukovsky airport in the Moscow region, the TajikTa news agency reported on Thursday.

From December, the company’s planes will fly three times a week from Tajik city of Kulyab to the Russian airport.

"The airline’s planes fly from Dushanbe to Zhukovsky three times a week - on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from Kulyab are expected to be conducted from December on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In addition, Somon Air will continue its flights to the airport Domodedovo: daily from Dushanbe, three times from Khujand and Kulyab," the news agency reports, citing the press service of the air carrier.

In April, Russia and Tajikistan lifted all previously imposed restrictions on air traffic between their cities.

The restrictions were imposed after Russia’s Ural Airlines did not receive permission to fly from Perm to Dushanbe, from Krasnodar to Khujand, from Chelyabinsk to Dushanbe and from Zhukovsky to Kulyab. In turn, Russia’s Transport Ministry banned Somon Air from flying between Dushanbe and Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Sochi, as well as from Khujand to Kazan and St. Petersburg. Tajikistan withdrew permits for flights to Dushanbe and Khujand from a number of Russian regions from four Russian airlines: Ural Airlines, UTair, S7 and Nortdwind Airlines.

Somon Air is a Tajik airline operating flights from cities of Tajikistan to Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
