New business resident builds a fish processing plant at Chukotka industrial park

First products are expected to be made by late 2019

TASS, October 25. A new resident of the Anadyr industrial park on Chukotka will build a fish processing plant to sell the products in the regional center - Anadyr, the Arctic Prompark Management Company’s Director General Alexander Porokhnya told TASS on Thursday.

"The industrial park’s new resident is Alexander Oratchek, a businessman who will build there a fish processing plant and will produce deep-frozen red fish and caviar to sell the product in Anadyr," the industrial park’s top manager said.

The project’s investments would be almost 5.5 million rubles ($84,000), the new plant will offer six jobs. First products will be made by late 2019.

Currently, the industrial park has eight residents. Their total investments in projects make 36.8 million rubles ($520,000).

Chukotka’s government has organized the Anadyr industrial park to develop small and medium businesses. The industrial park is a complex of property, managed by an operator. The park has energy, engineering and transport infrastructures and administrative and regulatory services to host industrial enterprises at an area of more than eight hectares.
