MOSCOW, August 29. /TASS/. Aeroflot Board of Directors re-elected Vitaly Savelyev to the post of General Director of the airline for a period of five years, the company said on Wednesday.

In addition, Andrey Chikhanchin was appointed to the post of Deputy General Director for commerce and finance. Earlier, Chikhanchin headed the department of corporate finance, and also served as Deputy General Director for commerce and finance.

Vitaly Saveliev has been holding the post of General Director of Aeroflot since 2009. His current contract expires on October 25.

Aeroflot group includes Aeroflot, Rossiya, Pobeda and Aurora airlines. The controlling stake in Aeroflot (51.2%) belongs to the state represented by the Federal Property Management Agency, Rostec Holding owns 3.5% of shares, institutional investors - 39.6%.
