Sanctions against Russia may be kept until 2022, Central Bank says
Development of internal financing sources is becoming particularly actual in such environment, the regulator said
MOSCOW, June 6. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia does not rule out that sanctions against Russia will continue to be in effect in its forecast for 2019-2021.
"The Bank of Russia, adhering to the conservative approach, does not rule out within the framework of the three-year outlook that introduced sanctions will be kept. Development of internal financing sources is becoming particularly actual in such environment, considering that the access to external sources can be limited," the regulator said.
The Central Bank at the same time plans to continue the process of integrating the national financial system with the global one through development of cooperation with leading international financial institutions.
"This will make possible to present best practices on the domestic financial market, increase its competitiveness and investment appeal, ensure comparable regulatory burden and create conditions for attraction of long-term investors into the Russian economy," the Central Bank said.
