Russia’s Roscosmos hopes to create national system of global Internet coverage
Russian companies affiliated with the space corporation have developed a variety of space services of the future
MOSCOW, May 10. /TASS/. Russia’s space corporation Roscosmos on May 22 will hold a presentation of advanced, cutting-edge space services, including a project for creating a national system of global high-speed Internet coverage.
"The audience will be briefed on a plan for creating a national system of global high-speed Internet coverage providing continued access to a communication channel for unmanned transport, the Internet of things (IoT) and protected data transmission," Roscosmos said in a statement.
Russian companies affiliated with the space corporation have developed a variety of space services of the future.
"Our advanced services are aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of state governance and different business processes using the results of space activity - remote sensing of the earth data and a national GPS system," Roscosmos said.
Roscosmos CEO Igor Komarov will speak at the presentation. The corporation’s executive director for business and commerce, Anton Zhiganov, will act as the moderator.
"Among those invited are the chiefs and representatives of major Russian companies, financial and banking organizations, development institutions, individuals and corporate entities - consumers of services provided by Russia’s space industry," the statement runs.
