MOSCOW, April 17. /TASS/. CEO of Sberbank of Russia Herman Gref believes that disconnecting Russia from the international system for the system of transfer of financial messages (SWIFT) is unlikely.
He said this at a press conference following the results of the meeting of the bank's supervisory board.
"Never say never, but I do really hope that geopolitics will not reach such extremes. It seems to me that we must proceed from the most pragmatic scenario which has best chances to be implemented. In terms of probability, such an option as SWIFT disconnection is not within the field of my view," he said.
