Ukrainian drone attack in Zaporozhye Region claims life of ambulance paramedic
Angela Vaylo was awarded the Medal for Services to the Zaporozhye Region
MELITOPOL, August 21. /TASS/. Ambulance paramedic Angela Vaylo was killed at her home during a Ukrainian drone attack on Vasilyevka in the Zaporozhye Region after completing her shift, the regional Health Ministry said.
"Yesterday, August 20, ambulance paramedic Angela Georgiyevna Vaylo of the Vasilyevka ambulance service branch was tragically killed in a drone attack on Vasilyevka. She sustained fatal injuries. It happened at her home after her shift. She was 56," the ministry said on Max.
Vaylo dedicated 37 years to medicine, the regional Health Ministry said. From the first days of the special military operation, she voluntarily assumed additional duties, "understanding that people need help more than ever amid military operations," it added. She was awarded the Medal for Services to the Zaporozhye Region and had been preparing to become a senior paramedic at the ambulance substation in Vasilyevka this fall.
"Angela Georgiyevna was a cheerful person who knew how to lift the spirits of everyone around her. Her colleagues will remember her as someone with great warmth of spirit, always ready to help and deeply committed to her profession. We offer our sincere condolences to Angela Georgiyevna's family and friends," the ministry said.
