MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. The research into hypersonic weapons is proceeding more effectively in Russia than in the United States, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of Russia’s Military and Industrial Commission Yuri Mikhailov said on Thursday.
"As for hypersonic weapons, our research is ongoing more effectively [than in the United States] but that country is developing the most advanced armaments," he said in the Federation Council, the upper house of Russia’s parliament.
Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said earlier that the ministry wanted to get hypersonic airborne missiles in 2020-2022.
