Putin notes stable world demand for Russian military products
In 2017 Russian armaments were supplied to 59 countries, according to the president
SOCHI, November 23. /TASS/. Demand for Russian military products shows no signs of declining, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his opening remarks at a meeting with senior Defense Ministry officials and arms manufactures on Thursday.
"In 2017, Russian armaments were supplied to 59 countries," Putin said. "It is very important the books of orders for military products of Russian manufacture show no signs of dwindling."
Continued improvements introduced to the military hardware on offer enabled Russia to retain the leading positions among world exporters of military products and stepping up military-technical cooperation with foreign partners. He recalled that Russia maintained steady military technical cooperation with 80 countries.
About the stability of contracts Putin said it was a result of timely financial and credit support for arms manufacturers and other efforts by the government to develop that sphere.
