RIO DE JANEIRO, April 5. /TASS/. Paraguay and Chile approached Russia with a request for acquisition of Ansat light multirole helicopters, Deputy General Director of Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport Sergei Ladygin told TASS on Wednesday.
"The Russian helicopter industry is indeed developing proactively. New and promising specimens appear; Mi-38, Ansat and advance Mi-171A2 can be mentioned among them. Requests for delivery of Ansat helicopter has been received recently from Chile and Paraguay," Ladygin said.
Brazil also shows interest in this helicopter, the top manager said. Rosoboronexport is pursuing proactive marketing activities with other countries in the region," Ladygin added.
