Russian strategic missile carriers to take part in military drills in Tajikistan
The crews of Tu-22M3 long-range bombers and Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers will take part in the drills
MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers and Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers will take part in joint Russian-Tajik drills on March 27-30, the Russian defense ministry said on Tuesday.
"Crews of Tu-22M3 long-range bombers and Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers will take part in the practical part of the joint Russian-Tajik exercises that will be held in Tajikistan," the ministry said.
The Russian warplanes will perform long-hour flights to drop bombs and make simulated missile launchers at unfamiliar testing grounds in Kharbmaidon, Momirak and Moskovsky in Tajikistan, the ministry said.
Apart from that, according to the ministry, special parachute systems Arbalet will be used to perform airdrop drop missions from Il-76 planes.
The Joint drills will be held on March 27-30.
